By LOREN E. MARTINThe Washington Post-DispatchDecember 9, 2016WASHINGTON — Rev. James Williams, a longtime friend and longtime parishioner at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Arlington, Va., was found dead Sunday morning.
His death was the third death at the church since September.
Williams, 57, was a senior pastor at the small church, which is located near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Washington Street NW in Arlington.
He had been in the hospital with complications from the pneumonia that had been diagnosed in May.
A funeral was held for Williams on Monday at Arlington Baptist Church.
A statement from the church read, “Our hearts go out to the family, friends, and community at this difficult time.
His faith and love for all are the same.
He will be missed dearly by all of us.
The parish and the congregation pray for peace and a speedy recovery for all of those involved.”
Williams had served as pastor at Prestonwoods Baptist Church since 2011.
