The Irish rock star is a long-held dream of mine.
And for years, my dream has been to be the rock star.
So when I was told that the Irish National Institute of Sport (INISA) would be announcing the winners of its annual award for the best rock star, I couldn’t be happier.
In a bid to celebrate the life and work of Rockstar Brian, the Irish Football Association (IFA) has named my team, Dublin United, to represent Ireland in the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
While some might be disappointed with the Irish rugby community’s performance in 2018, the rugby community can be proud of the fact that Ireland has been represented in the World Cup.
Ireland’s performance at the Rugby Championship was among the best in world rugby in 2019 and I’m excited about this opportunity.
With my first ever match in Dublin City, I’ll be looking forward to the challenge of representing Ireland at the 2018 Rugby World Cups in France, Germany, Japan and the United States.
I hope that I can inspire Ireland fans, players and the Irish public to enjoy rugby as much as I do.
